The Society of American Period Furniture Makers, (SAPFM), is a non-profit organization who's mission is to further the understanding and appreciation of American "Period" furniture, its history, and to teach the methods of how it was made.

"Period" refers to time periods of American history. Different periods brought different designs and techniques to create them. This chapter brings the benefits of this society to the Central Gulf Coast.

We seek those who want to learn more about woodworking skills. Our focus is on making historic furniture reproductions because so many skills that transfer to other areas of wood working can be learned through the complexities of furniture.  We offer classes for those interested in learning woodworking techniques, design, restoration and even the history of design and this craft. We are fortunate to have many highly skilled and talented furniture makers in SAPFM to teach our students.

We hold events throughout the year for all SAPFM members and visitors are welcome to try classes to see if this organization suits them.
